This season, Jimmy Fallon is getting into the football game — literally. NBC has announced that following five Sunday Night Football games this year, the late-night host will do an additional The Tonight Show episodes, a first for any talk show host.

Fallon's foray into late-night football kicks off (pun intended!) on Sunday, Sept. 8 following the AFC match-up of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots at Foxboro Stadium. Guests for the show are already locked in, and will feature Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan talking about their new movie Just Mercy, Kelly Clarkson to discuss her brand new talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, and musical guest Kane Brown.

The bonus Sunday night Tonight Show episodes won't continue for every consecutive week of the season, and will instead pick up again on Oct. 6, and later again on 20, 27, and then a month later for the game on Dec. 1. The episodes will air following local news, so be sure to check your local listings.

While Fallon is currently airing new episodes right now, the true fall season of The Tonight Show's launches on Sep. 23.
