Matthew Broderick stopped by Saturday Night Live this weekend to help the cast of players skewer the Tump cabinet. Playing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Broderick warned a band of buffoons — including Kate McKinnon as a ghoulish Rudy Giuliani, Aidy Bryant as Attorney General William Barr, and Kenan Thompson as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson — that an impeachment inquiry could be really bad.

The potential impeachment mattered little to the team, particularly Giuliani who noted that a Breitbart poll said more than 100 percent of Americans wanted Joe Biden impeached. "We need to close ranks," Giuliani said, "like the Mafia." One problem with that idea, Broderick's Pompeo said: "Except the Mafia was like, smart. They didn't go on Fox News and tell people the crimes before they did them."

Elsewhere in the episode, Emmy-winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge kicked off the show with a monologue that touched on the obsession with Fleabag's Hot Priest, played by Andrew Scott.

And McKinnon did another flawless Elizabeth Warren impression, mocking the senator's grassroots messaging and the rumor that she's been carrying on with a much younger veteran.

Saturday Night Live airs live at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
