MasterChef Junior, Fox's kid chefs cooking competition series, returns for its sixth season on Friday. It's bringing more mouthwatering dishes, impressive youngsters and delightful moments of fearsome chef Gordon Ramsay kindly mentoring kids. Original judge Joe Bastianich returns after two seasons away, joining last season's returning judges Ramsay and Christina Tosi.
The season kicks off with a special two-hour premiere where 40 kids ages 8 to 13 will try to earn an apron from the judges and move on to the next round. Challenges this season will include a mystery box challenge where each ingredient represents a different letter of the alphabet, the chefs preparing a dish that represents their family heritage, a chicken-and-waffles challenge and the return of the fan-favorite pop-up restaurant challenge.
