The Masked Singer keeps finding ways to surprise us, what with a second episode in Season 4 that upset the natural order of things with an unprecedented self-reveal. His elimination means we've seen a Golden Globe-winning actor, and a legendary rapper  already sent back to their caves. Still, plenty more competitors remain in the game, and there are many more weeks of play and speculation ahead. Here's what we know about the masked singers trying to hide their identity, and some of the best guesses as to who they are.

Here's What's New to Stream in October on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney+, and More

Giraffe

All the clues so far: He said he had a roller-coaster career full of ups and downs. He mentioned music in his blood. He said he took risks, and emphasized the word "knots." He said a crash and burn led him to swing higher, and we saw a sign reading $3. He said he "drummed up' towering success. He said he's now in the driver's seat.
The guesses: Travis Barker. Vanilla Ice.
It's probably: Blink-182's Travis Barker with the drummer and crash clue.

Sun

The clues: We saw her flash a card that read "Gold member." She said she been through extreme seasons, and "sprung" into the celebrity universe. We saw circles form the shape of the Disney/Mickey Mouse logo and she mentioned "frozen," which could be a nod to the films. She said she fell into a depression from being in the spotlight, mentioned Frozen, and said she transformed into a ray of light.
The guesses: Katherine McPhee. Idina Menzel. Demi Lovato.
It's probably: Idina Menzel. The Frozen clue was a huge giveaway.

Snow Owls

The clues: We haven't seen them together in a while but now it's time for a family reunion. Seems like they're brother and sister. The brother is a prankster, we're told. We saw signs that read Magnolia and "Quarrel Canyon." There were references to Christmas, taking flight, and doing a duet — so many this isn't their first time doing that.
The guesses: Amy Grant and Vince Gill. Donny and Marie,
It's probably: Amy Grant and Vince Gill, or Derek and Julianne Hough, since Donny Osmond was on Season 1.

Popcorn

The clues: This person has some strong ties to New York City, based on the Snacks and the City poster, strong New York accent and the Broadway reference in a poster on the bus. She called herself Miss Popcorn, as in Miss Jackson, said "straight up" and that she built her career around love. She said she was "Russian" from one job to the next. We saw a plate of meatloaf. There were lots of references to butter.  We saw her in front of a "Proud Merry go Round"
The guesses:
 Tina Turner. Mary J. Blige.
It's probably: Cyndia Lauper. She's a New Yorker and wrote "Kinky Boots" Broadway.

The Serpent

The clues: We saw him in a library sitting by books that read "How to Dig Yourself Out of Debt," and "How to Be a Good Serpent." There was a map that hinted he's from the Caribbean. He's into musicology and medicine. He called himself a troublemaker. He's a Jr.
The guesses:
John Legend. Daveed Diggs. Leslie Odom Jr.
It's probably: With nods to Hamilton and the revelation that he's a Jr., it's sounding a lot like Leslie Odom Jr.

Baby Alien

The clues: He said it was time for rebirth. He said he was stuck in second gear, which could be read as a Friends reference. He said he was in theater every week, and mentioned being on the Tony Awards stage. We saw a parade, and floats that included a broken bell (as in Philadelphia) a turtle in a karate outfit.
The guesses:
Ralph Maccio. David Schwimmer.
It's probably: There's a strong theory this is comedian and puppet master Jeff Dunham, given Baby Alien's clear talent for ventriloquism.

Seahorse

The clues: We saw a sign that read "Ok Coral," and judging by her accent, she may be from the South. We saw stuffed teddy bears and a rainbow frog. There was a Hogwarts clue, and we saw her riding dolphins. She called herself "dauntless diva."
The guesses:
Halsey. Bebe Rexha. Hailee Steinfeld.
It's probably: Lots of people on the net are speculating this is Halle Bailey of the group Chloe x Halle, but it's too soon to say!

The Crocodile

The clues: He said he is happiest in water. He grew up in Hollywood. We saw him at a table with an Italian flag and a pineapple with fish in it. He called himself a warm sensitive creature as a rainbow flashed behind him. There was a possible reference to Vegas.
The guesses: Nick Lachey. Donnie Wahlberg.
It's probably: A real stumper. Everyone from Jaden Smith to Elton John (yeah, right) has been floated but it's too soon in the game to say for sure.

Whatchamacallit

The clues: He started out giving people high-fives. We saw orange slices. He said he was magical, and we saw him bouncing around on Jell-O mounds. He said he let others absorb his spotlight. We saw a black panther, and him swimming through candy bars.
The guesses: Swizz Beatz. Dame Lillard. Tyler the Creator.
It's probably: Neil Patrick Harris. His mention of magic was a heavy hint it's this lover of the craft.

The Gremlin - Eliminated Week 2

One day you'll be able to tell your grandchildren how you remember where you were the moment that Mickey Rourke made Masked Singer history by ripping off his own headpiece and eliminating himself from the competition.

The Dragon - Eliminated Week 1

This was rap star Busta Rhymes! If his voice wasn't a clear and dead giveaway, he also made it clear when he alluded to dressing in funky costumes, and said his fire was dangerous — since, you know, rappers spit hot fire.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8/7c.
