Where We Left Off: Katie (Katy Mixon) faked a surrogate pregnancy to get out of volunteering hours at school (Mixon was pregnant IRL). The Westport moms ended up throwing her a baby shower, where Anna-Kat (Julia Butters) exposed her faux belly. During Oliver's (Daniel DiMaggio) ballet recital, which definitely won't be getting him a scholarship to Harvard any time soon, Katie softened her "no more kids" stance to a "maybe," much to Greg's (Diedrich Bader) delight.
The Scoop: Will the Ottos grow by one? The idea is on the table, but Katie and Greg haven't definitely committed to it yet. "I think her thoughts on whether she wants another kid or not was very true for her," Mixon tells us. "Now if that execution is going to happen, I don't know. ... But I think she really looked at Greg and was like, 'Maybe.' She's thinking about it."
More pressing matters are on Katie's mind, mainly trying to redeem herself with the Westport moms after her pseudo pregnancy. "She can't leave Wesport, so she's got to surrender to the fact that she kinda wants to fit in with them to make it a little easy a bit," Mixon says. "But she kind of wants them to like her. We go through that whole situation now in the second season because I take on the spring gala, so that's going to be fascinating."
As for the kids, Taylor (Meg Donnelly) is going to be driving and has no interest in going to college, Oliver's ballet skills will improve, and Anna-Kat will become a little "hellion." "She's trying to be real rebellious and so Katie has go to handle that with Greg, on top of trying to clean up the mess she made with the Westport moms," Mixon says.
