If you've been wondering when you'll see Joshua Jackson's beautiful bearded face on your TV again, the wait is finally over! Showtime announced Saturday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that Season 4 of The Affairwill premiere on Sunday, June 17 at 9/8c.
The new season finds the formerly intimately connected Noah (Dominic West), Helen (Maura Tierney), Alison (Ruth Wilson) and Cole (Jackson) alienated from one another as they embark on relationships that will force them to decide if they're finally ready to leave the past behind for good.
Several new faces are also joining the show this season. Sanaa Lathan appears as Jenelle, the principal of the charter school where Noah teaches, while Ramon Rodriguez stars as Ben, a Marine veteran and Alison's new love interest. Guest stars include Russell Hornsby, Christopher Meyer, Amy Irving and Phoebe Tonkin.
Showtime also announced a premiere date for the second season of I'm Dying Up Here. The show, executive-produced by comedian Jim Carrey, will return Sunday, May 6 at 10/9c. The series gives a behind-the-scenes look at the stand-up comedy scene of the 1970s as it explores the complicated psyches of a fictional group of comedians mentored by comedy club owner Goldie (Melissa Leo). The series stars Ari Graynor, Clark Duke, Michael Angarano, RJ Cyler, Andrew Santino, Erik Griffin, Al Madrigal and Jake Lacy.
The news comes on the heels of Showtime's announcement that Billions will return for Season 3 in March.
