Nick Jonas, easily the best Jonas of the famed Jonas Brothers, is returning to TV, this time as a coach on The Voice. The Kingdom actor and award-winning singer will be joined in the upcoming spring cycle of the series alongside returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton. Host Carson Daly will also be back.
"I'm so excited to be a part of The Voice family," Jonas said in a statement. "It's such an awesome group of individuals, and I can't wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices."
Jonas will address the news on Tuesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show while promoting Jonas Brothers' platinum album and their current single, "Only Human." You can check out the clip of the announcement, which also features some special messages from his fellow coaches, above.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
Correction: A previous version of this story said Jonas was replacing Levine, but he is not in the current cycle.
