Madam Secretary will be making its Season 2 premiere with one heck of a guest star. Morgan Freeman will be appearing in the show's premiere in October, TVguide.com has confirmed. Entertainment Weeklyfirst reported his role.
Freeman, also an executive producer on the show, will be playing a Supreme Court Justice in the episode that he also directed. He'll appear in a scene with Elizabeth (Téa Leoni)...though that's all we know so far. Details are being kept tight under wraps. Might he be teaching Secretary of State McCord a lesson? Or will he be a friendly face?
The Oscar winner is not the only big name we'll see in Season 2. As previously reported, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will be appearing as herself.
Madam Secretary returns for Season 2 on Oct. 4 at 8/7c on CBS.
