The end is nigh. HBO released the premiere date for the long-awaited Deadwood movie on Thursday, March 21, the 15th anniversary of the Emmy-winning Western drama's series premiere. Deadwood: The Movie premieres Friday, May 21 at 8/7c on HBO. The network also released a trailer that promises rivalries reignited and old wounds reopened.

The movie's returning cast includes all the heavy hitters from the show: Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, Paula Malcomson, John Hawkes, Anna Gunn, Dayton Callie, Brad Dourif, Robin Weigert, William Sanderson, Kim Dickens, Gerald McRaney, Sean Bridgers, W. Earl Brown and Keone Young. The new cast features Jade Pettyjohn.

The movie is written by creator David Milch (with uncredited contributions by True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto), and directed by HBO staple Daniel Minahan, who directed four episodes of the series as well as episodes of Game of Thrones, True Blood, and Six Feet Under.

Deadwood's three seasons are available to stream on HBO GO/HBO NOW and Amazon Prime.
